Built for USB4 40 Gbps connections, this USB adapter supports high throughput data paths and tunneled DisplayPort signaling to ensure docks, NVMe enclosures, capture devices and other performance sensitive peripherals operate at intended bandwidths. The adapter is backward compatible with USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 specifications, so you can connect legacy devices.Note: Performance depends on the combined capabilities of the host, cable and device.

Supports 8K and High-Refresh 4K Video

When used with a DisplayPort 1.4 (HBR3) source and DSC-capable display, the U521-000-F-RA supports 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz. USB4 display tunneling ability makes it an ideal adapter for USB4/Thunderbolt docking stations, video conferencing equipment, gaming displays, and high resolution workflows.Note: DP Alt Mode at 8K/60 Hz or 4K/120 Hz typically uses all four DisplayPort lanes, reducing USB data fallback to USB 2.0. For simultaneous high bandwidth data and video, a USB4 host port is recommended.
